Futurists and information experts

The futurist was collecting data at a bookstore  when he explained to the grandfather and granddaughter that it was not feasible for them to purchase The Hobbit in any form besides digital.
"You see books are being phased out. It will soon be obvious even to non information scholars that books are only owned in their physical format for sentimental or decorative purposes."
The granddaughter smiled and her grandfather handed her the gorgeous leather bound hardback book, reaching around the scholar, and over the ipad display to retrieve it. The little girl ran to the front of the store and the grandfather, a retired garbage truck driver leaned forward, and whispered to the hip young man, "What the hell is a futurist anyway?"
