A tired man paces below a bridge anticipating her anger. He walks across a boardwalk, past a cotton candy vendor pedaling AdLib songs with his sugary candy.
This man can see her utter disappointment in his mind. He ignores the ferris wheel and the smell of stale beer and arrives at their chosen spot.
"Daddy," the little, delicate child hugs him.
His ex approaches him with hatred in her eyes, and she hands him twenty five dollars without the child noticing.
"Make sure you get her cotton candy she likes the guys singing. And don't be late bringing her back."
The unsuccessful man holds his daughters  tiny hand and walks back towards the candy clutching the money and ignoring the smell of beer.
